Welcome to Foundersuite!

In this blog post we will guide you through 4 quick steps to get you started using Foundersuite. You will learn how to setup your account, invite team members and add investors. This should take less than 5 minutes.

1. Customize your account

On the left hand side of your screen, click SETTINGS. Here, you can add your name, title, and personal photo. Under the ACCOUNTS tab, you can add the company name, logo, and tagline.

2. Add your team

You will also see a tab called TEAM where you can invite your Co-Founders, Advisors, and others to work with you. Simply click ADD NEW TEAM MEMBER and follow the prompts. Who should you invite? Anyone who can help you with your fundraise. It’s free, and you can always remove them later.

3. Set up your round

Go back to your Investor Board by clicking the $ icon on the left. At the top, hover over DEFAULT ROUND and click EDIT. Give your round a name, e.g. “Acme Seed Round” and set a target amount e.g. “1,000,000.” Choose Currency and Round Type and you’re done.

4. Add investors to your Investor Board

Now the fun begins! There are 3 easy ways to add investors to your Board:

  1. Click the FIND INVESTORS tab and search by industry keyword. You'll see a list of angels and VCs interested in your market. Scroll through the list, and when you see someone who looks relevant, click ADD TO RESEARCH. They are not contacted or notified— they are simply added to your Board as a lead.
  2. Click the ADD INVESTOR button. Start typing an investor’s name, and we will pull in information on him/her if available. Again, the investor is not contacted or notified— just added to your Board.
  3. Click the IMPORT CSV button. Do you already have a list of investor leads in Excel or in another CRM program? Export them to a CSV and you can upload them to your Board (Silver and Gold plans only).

Pro Tip: Fundraising is a “numbers game”; successfully-funded companies are the ones who work hardest at finding investors. Our recommendation is to add at least 100 relevant investors to your funnel.

That's all for now. Spend some time playing with it and contact us anytime with questions. Have a great day!
