Previously, he served as a Director of Revenue and Business Development at Plaxo. and as a Director of Business Development at Spoke Software, an enterprise software firm providing tools to sales forces to better leverage relationships. Tod is also an active angel investor.

We were honored to have Elad Gil speak at our second Startup Funding 2.0 event held at WeWork. 

Elad is co-founder of Color Genomics and a prolific angel investor in such startups as Airbnb, Gusto, Stripe, Square, Pinterest, Instacart, Zenefits, Optimizely and many others.

Previously, he was the VP of Corporate Strategy at Twitter. Elad joined Twitter via the acquisition of MixerLabs, a company where he was co-founder and CEO. MixerLabs ran GeoAPI, one of the early developer-centric platform infrastructure products.

Elad also spent many years at Google, where he started the mobile team and was ithe original product manager for Google Mobile Maps and other key mobile products.

Accelerator of the Week: Beta-i, Lisbon

Startup of the Week -- Talino EV

Before starting grad school, I took a year-long "sabbatical" and backpacked extensively through Southeast Asia (remember the book The Beach? yeah, kinda like that...)

I absolutely loved the people, food, landscape and culture. But the traffic and pollution was horrible. I spent waaay too much time riding in Tuk-Tuks breathing exhaust from a sea of 2-stroke motors.

This week's Startup of the Week is solving this massive problem with a really cool electronic solution- think of it as the "Tesla-meets-Uber of Tuk Tuks."
